Remote, Americas, a forerunner as a carbon removal crediting program, is on the lookout for a new team member for the Offtake & Investment Solutions team (“OIS”). Puro’s OIS team complements the core work of certification delivered by, by ensuring that demand, financing and risk-mitigation solutions are available in the market to support the much-needed growth of the ecosystem. 

To do so, OIS enhances synergies and flows of information between suppliers, buyers and investors, and supports the development of external funding and risk-mitigation tools for CDR. OIS applies strategic thinking to support the acceleration of significant and scalable CDR purchases and funding solutions. It is important to note OIS is not involved in structuring, arranging, or negotiating commercial aspects of transactions, which are all handled privately outside of 

This role offers a unique opportunity to learn front-row about the challenges and opportunities to finance CDR projects working under various carbon removal methods of, and work with a variety of carbon credit intermediaries and investors bringing key solutions to the market.  


  • Support Intermediaries and Investors engaging in CDR offtakes and investments: educate off-takers and investors on certification services & products offered by, handle on-boarding process and documentation, collect preferences & help navigate pipeline of projects; 
  • Expand understanding of problematics & opportunities faced by suppliers around financing and demand: screen market publications and public information, review sales and funding plans of projects (including financial model where relevant), support strategic actions to solve these challenges; 
  • Develop and implement tools and processes: to enhance information flows on offtake and investment, especially when it comes to methodologies recently operationalized; 
  • Support development of funding solutions and risk-mitigation tools: support 3rd parties with getting relevant information and access to the rights ecosystem actors; 
  • Improve registry services for offtakers and investors: collect and streamline market feedback, develop and implement tools and processes to improve Puro’s registry offering

Qualifications and skills 

  • Strong analytical skills, with an aptitude for both work in autonomy and in collaboration with others 
  • Proven expertise in finance and offtake contracting mechanisms, ideally within the Voluntary Carbon Market or other similar certification schemes 
  • Proven expertise in advanced spreadsheet calculations 
  • Writing skills and oral communication skills (specifically for training) in English language. 
  • Proactive and initiative-taking mindsets, for continuous learning and improvement 

Reporting Structure 

This role reports to the Head of OIS.
