AspiraDAC is pioneering the world's first solar-powered DAC project, based on modular technology with a MOF-based sorbent. It is unique in that the energy supply is fully embedded and integrated into the capture infrastructure. Current scale is 1tpd but future plans are to the kilotonne then megatonne per year scale by the end of the decade. AspiraDAC was featured in the first carbon removal purchase round from Frontier (Spring 2022) https://frontierclimate.com/ and the technology partner (Southern Green Gas and the University of Sydney) was awarded a Student XPRIZE in November 2021.
