Puro.earth is an acknowledged leader in the field of carbon crediting, dedicated to developing and implementing effective solutions for durable carbon removal. Our mission is to combat climate change by making carbon removals verifiable, reportable, and accessible to a wide range of companies and organizations around the globe.

Puro is in pursuit of a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who can redefine the boundaries of our technological prowess. As the digital realm evolves, we need a leader with both the technical acumen and the ambition to harness the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, blockchain and cloud technologies to elevate our platform.

Responsibilities:

Collaboration & Liaising:
• Work closely with the Head of Service Development, ensuring a seamless flow of requirements and priorities.
• Regular collaboration with primary work partners such as the COO and Head of Services.

Digital Infrastructure Oversight:
• Assume holistic responsibility for developing, deploying, and maintaining the digital infrastructure crucial for efficient operations.

Innovation & Optimization:
• Spearhead the utilization of AI and other cutting-edge tools in operations where they can bring about transformative improvements.

Information Security Leadership:
• Craft, implement, document, and communicate Puro's comprehensive security strategy.
• Develop and uphold stringent policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard our digital assets and data.

What Sets This Role Apart:

The CTO position has evolved in its scope. While the interpretation of business line expectations will now be streamlined thanks to the Head of Service Development, the role now encapsulates a broader responsibility. The aim is to harness technology to digitalize operations across the board, not just limiting it to software development.

Qualifications:

• Deep-rooted vision of existing and forthcoming digitalization opportunities.
• Proficiency in diverse programming languages to help organize ambitious development roadmap realization together with the project manager.
• Avid interest and willingness to experiment with AI.
• Demonstrable experience in employing agile methods for swift platform functionality expansion.
• A proactive approach to information security and an understanding of the best practices in the domain.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, enabling smooth interactions with diverse stakeholder groups.
