Making Regenerative Agriculture & Carbon Intensity Count: A Nasdaq MarketSite Discussion

6.11.2026

How can verified farm-level data unlock the value of regenerative agriculture and support more transparent, resilient agricultural supply chains?

How crops are grown has a direct impact on emissions, soil health and climate resilience. Yet, as agricultural commodities move from farm to buyer, the environmental impact of their production can become difficult to trace, measure and demonstrate.

Regenerative agriculture offers opportunities to improve soil health, reduce emissions and strengthen supply chain resilience. But for these benefits to be recognised and rewarded across the value chain, the industry needs consistent, transparent and independently verified data.

At Nasdaq MarketSite in New York, Puro.earth brought together industry leaders from Arva Intelligence, Perdue Farms and MillPont to discuss how agricultural carbon intensity (CI) measurement can bridge the gap between regenerative practices on the farm and commercial decisions further down the supply chain.

The discussion follows the launch of Puro.earth’s Environmental Attributes Registry, with Arva Intelligence and Perdue Farms as its first adopters. The Registry leverages MillPont’s geospatial identity and clearing technology to provide independent field-level traceability and help prevent double counting of environmental claims.

Moderated by Jan-Willem Bode, President of Puro.earth, the 35-minute conversation explores regenerative agriculture, the importance of robust market infrastructure and how verified carbon intensity data can create commercial opportunities for farmers and greater confidence for buyers.

The conversation also touches on the broader need for common governance and market infrastructure for environmental assets, an area Perdue and Arva are hoping to address through formation of an environmental board of trade.
